About Amira Bint Nefisa
Amira Bint Nefisa was our first acquisition in the Arabian breed. She was our start in the new era of Arabian breeding. Amira was born at Tariifa Arabian Stud in the Limousin region in the south of France and was imported on Christmas day 2003 as a weanling. Amira Bint Nefisa was sired by Azal ‘S’. Azal, a grey Saqlawi Gidran Ibn Sudan stallion was bred at Smaroel Arabians in the Netherlands and is now, after producing show and racetrack champions at Canasta Arabians, spending his final years in France. Amira is a Saqlawi ‘Pure in the Strain’: her mother, A.M. Nefisa is a daughter of the Multiple Champion and E.A.O. Stallion Ibn Barrada. He was bred at the national Egyptian Agricultural Organisation stud El Zaahra at Heliopolis near Cairo / Egypt. In the dam line of Amira’s pedigree, we find the US import mare Nour Allah, daughter of Ansata Halima Son, one of the most refined Ansata Ibn Halima get, producing international show winners for Ansata. A few generations later, the grand broodmatrone in Egyptian breeding appears in the female tail: Mouniet el Nefous.
Amira is in foal to J.J. SHAMAL IBN ALAM for an April baby.
